It gives me great pleasure to announce Call for Papers for NoSQL Day at DataWorks Summit Washington, DC;  the community event for Apache HBaseApache Phoenix, and Apache Accumulo.

Join us  Tuesday May 21 where committers, contributors and users will gather to celebrate new advancements and deployments in the world of Apache HBase, Phoenix and Accumulo.

We are currently accepting abstracts and project committees will select the most interesting talks to include in the agenda.  We are looking for war stories/case studies, internals, development and admin/devops best practices, and futures. Anything you can share that will help others run HBase, Phoenix or Accumulo in production successfully is appreciated. Interesting developments, applications, or deploys as well as updates by ecosystem projects are all welcome.

You can register for NoSQL Day at the following link. As an added bonus, registering for NoSQL Day will also give you 25% off your DataWorks Summit registration!

Apache HBase is an open-source, distributed, versioned, non-relational database. Apache HBase gives you low latency random access to billions of rows with millions of columns atop non-specialized hardware. To learn more about HBase, see https://hbase.apache.org/.

Apache Phoenix enables OLTP and operational analytics in Hadoop for low latency applications by combining the power of standard SQL and JDBC APIs with the flexibility of late-bound, schema-on-read capabilities from the HBase world. To learn more about Phoenix, see https://phoenix.apache.org/.

Apache Accumulo is a sorted, distributed key/value store that provides robust, scalable data storage and retrieval.  With Apache Accumulo, users can store and manage large data sets across a cluster. Accumulo uses Apache Hadoop‘s HDFS to store its data and Apache ZooKeeper for consensus. While many users interact directly with Accumulo, several open source projects use Accumulo as their underlying store.  To learn more about Accumulo, see https://accumulo.apache.org/

These communities work independently within the ASF to provide their respective software under the permissive Apache license. Apache, Apache HBase, Apache Phoenix and Apache Accumulo are trademarks or registered trademarks of the Apache Software Foundation.

Look forward to seeing you in DC!

Josh Elser, Apache Committer and PMC member for Phoenix
